Inpatient Mental Health Treatment Programs for Teens and Adolescents

Adolescent Programs (ages 13-17)

Inpatient Programs

These programs are designed to help teens and their families in the complex process of identifying psychological problems and building upon inherent strengths to change behaviors and thought patterns into pathways for healthy growth. Building resiliency, self-reflection, empathy, affect regulation and mindfulness lay the foundation for this pathway. This program provides a therapeutic milieu and aids in building skills designed to help teens engage and communicate in healthy and effective ways.

Teens will spend each full day engaged in a variety of groups but will also leave the unit for meals, gym time, recreational activities and time outdoors (permitting good weather).

  • Individualized treatment plans
  • Expressive art and recreational therapy

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)  and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for Adolescent Boys & Girls (ages 13 through 17)

Our Intensive outpatient program and partial hospitalization program is for those teens who do not require the 24-hour supervision provided by an inpatient program. Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute's outpatient programs are for the teen boy or girl who has achieved some stability, but continues to need intensive treatment.

Transportation is offered to programming.
